Drink
During the 18th century in Ireland, the first commercial distilleries were established. Those were Kilbeggan Distillery in 1757, Jameson in 1780, Bushmills in 1784, and Powers in 1791. By 1960's, other distilleries had ceased yet only four remained in operation in Dublin. The independent and only Irish-owned distillery remaining is the Cooley Distillery. Yet the whiskey still flows in Ireland. You just have to stop in any of the Pub you came along the way and there would be a whiskey bottle waiting for you.
Another favourite is the beer for the mass. There are also stout, ales, and microbrews. Most of the breweries are located in Dublin. And the popular of all is the Guinness Beer, brewed in St James' Gate. They said, as long as you are near to Dublin, the better your Guinnes would be. Other notable beer is Kilkenny, Smithwicks, Beamish, and Murphy's. Whatever your preference, you can always enjoy a cup of tea to a superb pint![pic]
