Do you want to learn more about history and see the places that they
actually were on? Then Ireland is the place for your travel. With its green
and refreshing landscapes and greeneries, Ireland is full of mysteries and
history. It is probably not in the itinerary of most people but at least
you would not be troubled with swarms of tourists disturbing your peace and
quiet as you stroll through their well cultivated gardens and labyrinthine
caves and view the Atlantic Ocean through their coastlines.
Also called Emerald Isle by a poem by William Drennan, Ireland boasts of a
wide selection of attractions, with green being the dominant color. In
fact, there are actually forty derivatives of the green color, although
without the emerald color. This island is rich in waterways and lush
forests with rolling mountains that would be fun to climb.
The Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a popular travel
destination in Ireland. With their columns of basalt, located n different
places in the Causeway, it is believed to be scattered by a giant, Finn
MacCool, when he went to battle with an enemy giant in Scotland.
Your visit to Ireland is not whole if you don't travel to the Shannon
River. The longest river in the British Islands, it is renowned to be one
of the grand rivers in Europe. It is a paradise for those nature-lovers
because of its virginal and ethereal beauty.
Tours in Ireland are made to suit the needs of the tourist, if they just want a quick view of Ireland, the whole grand tour, or just those that fit their interest. Since gasoline is quite cheap in this country, it is often suggested to use a car when traveling, aside from the fact that you can get around easily and at your own time. You can either bring your car via a ferry or rent one from the airport. When traveling Ireland by car, the Beara Peninsula seems to be the logical place to visit first. It is also easily accessible through by bike or even hiking. Then you can view the Atlantic Ocean and the Bantry Bay, the Caha Moutains and Slieve mountains at the side. At Castletownbere, local Irish artists display their works in the galleries located here. There is also the Dursey Island cable car which was originally made for moving cows and people. The exotic gardens and historical monuments are also a sight to behold. These gardens are tended and maintained by their original owners. To unwind during the night after your travel all over Ireland, you can relax at the quaint Irish pubs located in Belfast and sleep in the historical castles that have been converted into a bed and breakfast place, with its mysterious air and mystical gardens. There are still numerous places to see when you decide to travel to Ireland. Whether your purpose for traveling is for business or some needed rest and relaxation, you are sure to find a sense of tranquility in this quiet part of Europe. Comments (1)
